2020 Worst NHL Contract Twitter Poll Bracket Challenge

While hockey fans are still sitting at home with nothing to watch, lingering in limbo, I decided to start a "Twitter poll bracket challenge" to elect the worst contract in the NHL for 2020. The main criteria is amount overpaid multiplied by years remaining (factoring expected age decline into the equation). There will be 32 contracts nominated, 4 per poll. 8 polls in the first round, with the top 2 vote getters in each poll advancing to the next round. Second round will be reseeded based on vote % in round 1.

Here is my preliminary list of nominees. Below that you'll find a list of "maybe" contracts. I will listen to some feedback before officially launching the challenge. If you feel strongly that any of these nominees need to be swapped with someone from the maybe list, make your case. Honestly, there's enough bad contracts in the league that I could have done a 64 contract challenge, but 15 total polls is already more than enough....
