Marc Staal will not start the season with the New York Rangers as he is still experiencing side effects from a concussion suffered after being his by his brother Eric Staal. It wasn't a dirty hit, but sadly it led to a serious injury. I'd be interested to know what the parents think, one brother injured by the other. It is one thing for siblings to compete against one another, but bone crunching hits? In boxing the Klitchko brothers are the two most dominant heavyweights but refuse to fight each other because they don't want to hurt their sibling. That makes sense. Eric has to regret throwing that hit, especially given the long term effects of the incident.
For giving your brother a concussion, I say booo Eric Staal.
